William J. Brinkmann has been named the 2010-11 Chair of the Illinois-Downstate State Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been a member of this organization since 2003.

As Committee Chair, he will be responsible for, among other things, directing the committee’s work in considering the qualifications of prospective new members. The College only takes in new members who are “experienced trial lawyer[s] who meet the highest standards of professional excellence, ethics, and collegiality.”

The College’s bylaws say that it is “professional association of lawyers and judges skilled and experienced in the trial of cases and dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice, and the ethics of the profession.”
